Default NEW Tire & Wheel Combination??

Hi. I am considering getting the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval for both
the front and rear tires of my 2002 Z06. I am also considering
getting replacement Z06 Motorsport chrome wheels. The chrome wheels come in two sizes for both front and two sizes for the rear. Can anyone please tell me given the sizes of the Firestones that I am considering and the wheels, which combination of tire and wheel will fit better? I prefer the larger wheels and larger tires, but not at the expense that the tires do not fit correctly. Also, if I choose the larger tire for the front, how if at all will that affect my ABS, handling, etc? Thanks!

Firestone Tire Size:

Front Tire: 265/40/17 OR 275/40/17 OR 285/40/17

Rear Tire: 295/35/18

Choice between two wheel sizes:

Front Wheels: 17x8.5 or 17x9.5

Rear Wheels: 18x9.5 and 18x10.5

I am not even sure if the difference in these wheels sizes is even perceivable once the tire is on, what do you all think?

Or maybe I go with 18" wheels in the front and 19 in the back???...but then I cannot get the Firestones and my tire selection becomes much more limited not to mention expensive. In that case, I have no idea what size of tire to get.

THANKS!!

Here's a great tool. Just enter your stock tire size, and then your proposed tire size. You'll be able to compare sidewall and overall heights in order to stay close to stock (or not, if you prefer).
