Good for Dave. He's been such a great guy for the Corvette over the years, and now he gets to relax and really enjoy himself, his family and Corvettes. I bet he says pretty involved with the Corvette world.
I wish David the best of luck. He is truly one of us. I love the fact that he is so readily available to us at NCM events and so willing to take the time and discuss things. I hope that we get the same treatment from his replacement. Where else would you see the Chief Engineer of an automotive platform in jeans having beers at an enthusiasts "cruise-in" Only in a Vette!

And I hope we see the new guy at the next Cruise In!

It is a drop in the bucket compared to it's competition...

Well, you obviously cared enough to comment. Dave has a lot of friends in the Corvette community and we care. If you don't that's fine. I seriously doubt that he was forced out. The neat thing is that if you don't like the C6 you don't ever have to buy one. Compared to the competition for our cars, $60K is a drop in the bucket and lastly, due to just plain negative comments rather than constructive criticism we will never see him on this forum or any other.

So much for my opinion......sorry to offend you... I did ,however, help contribute to his salary/retirement by purchasing a new Corvette in 02.
