Default If I were you, I would

1. See what she really is buying.

2. Set up a plan where some of her money goes towards the house bills and some she can spend on herself.

3. See a marriage counselor. I REALLY suggest this, there are more issues here than just this...

Heck. My wife is the only one named on the title. And its her daily driver.

That said, I stole it yesterday to drive to work. Yeah, she kicked my butt, but I still got to drive it.

And the SOX WON too.

Everybody needs a little spice in their marriage. Especially after 30 years.

Default Show the wife who's boss!

I think you should show her how tough you are and sell the 'Vette and buy a Honda four-door sedan. Then, when she smuggles stuff into th house and doesn't tell you about it, you can present your case to the Forum and have everyone sound off on how mean she is to you. Oh, and don't forget to post on the Honda Forum!

So I confronted her with it. That's how the argument started. My point was, all I wanted her to do was tell me what she was going to buy. Her point is, not all the things she would buy she has to tell me. She also said that she knows I also work hard that's why she did not stop me from buying my C5 even though I told her I would sell it when she had her accident. And I asked her 2 times. Now I feel like she's making me feel guilty over buying the Vette and the stuff that goes along with it. I don't know what to do. I told her just to make her happy I would sell the car. What should I do. We really don't have any monetary problems, I was just trying to make my point as knowing what she buys because I do tell her before I buy things. Am I being a jerk by confronting her or do I have a point. Should I sell the Vette just to prove a point. I really love the car and I would hate to see it go especially that I only have about 7-8 months and it's paid for, but I don't want her to keep blaming about the car everytime we would have an argument. Thanks in advance.
Just more validation for my stance..."I was married once, now I just rent"..

Simple...

I've got a great gal, that I don't have to marry...
She's a nurse, makes great money, does what she wants with it

I do what I want with my money. Period.

Neither of us have to ask permission, or forgiveness

Good. Let the powers that be close this thread. As far as I'm concerned, I got a lot of help from the more sensible members of this forum. As for the negative feedbacks. I also value your opinion, just not so much. So for the moderators. Please close this thread as I already have resolved this issue. Won't be selling my Vette anytime soon and I think me and my wife have a better understanding of each other. Happy ending.
BTW, for those who have had positive feedbacks. Thank you guys for the help. I appreciate it.

Selling the Vette would only prove your wife wears the pants in the family, and this seems to be exactly what she wants. Before anyone does anything, get some counseling. There are some major issues here that need to be dealt with.
