I have been searching for information on this and found a good listing on a web site belonging to Jake Latham. I don't think he'll mind sharing it with all you. For me the list below was especially helpful because he ranked the after-market exaust systems in order of loudness. Since there is really no measurable performance gained by adding the systems the only reason to do the mod is sound... for me, I wanted only a tad more sound. My local dealer was going to install GHL's and then I saw a post here where a fella's wife was complaining starting the car woke her up and the neighbors were complaining too. Wow, thank goodness I didn't get them... I would have regreated it as a loud sound wasn't what I was after. Anyway hope some of you find this useful.
"Here is a short list of commonly used exhaust systems on C5's. It is generally held that they're not worth more than about 10hp or so at the outside, so if you upgrade, it should be mostly for the inrease in sound. I've tried to list them in approximate order of loudness, and left out the hyperexpensive aftermarket Ti systems that nobody seems to buy:
