co signers help!
it's posted in the C5's for sale section.
Would be a great car for a 18-19 year old. Thats how old I was when i bought it stock back in 99.Shane
I bought my first corvette, a 2001 with 27,000 miles this past Feburary, my car payment is $586 a month (4 year loan) and my insurance is $81 a month (full coverage $250 deductible) that's $667 a month (good luck on getting insurance that cheap by the way) just for the car, I know for a FACT that you will not bring in that much income just coming into the military per paycheck, that doesn't include the maintenance the car costs. $50 an oil change, $40 to fill it up, $300 PER tire... Common things that go wrong, that I've already experianced like the LED in the dash where the temp is displayed going out ($400) my EBCM (brake control module went out seems very common) costs another $1000... If I wasn't married, and my wife didn't work, we wouldn't have it... Think about it... My buddy got jealous when I got mine and went out the next week and bought one... He got rid of it 6 months later because he couldn't afford it... and his payments were less than mine, but his insurance was almost 4 times what mine was...
The new guys that I work with take home maybe $600 a check, a little more if they live off base... My advice is to be patient... Save, budget, and make a GOOD decision...
You know... I always find a better deal right after I make my purchases
The salesman said I should see if I could get a co signer before applying for the loan.....
If I was to tell you the reason I am wanting/getting a C5 corvette, I could seriously write a book...
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I know everyone here is really helpful, as far as helping out maybe with money for people if they are in a jam, or parts, or even lending out rooms in their home for people that need them.
But asking someone to sign their name on a piece of paper for someone they dont know, I just cant beleive it.. People work hard for their credit score and rating. I bet there are atleast 50% of people here that wouldnt even co-sign for their own family let alone a stranger.
My eyes are still
after reading that..
Good luck finding someone.
That's great. We call that "size 10 *********".
Your dad isn't trying to ruin your happiness, he just wants to help you make the right decisions...

I also think you would be putting alot of pressure on the person you do find that will co-sign for you.
But...that's only my opinion.
However, anyone that would ask total strangers to risk thier credit and financial future on a stranger obviously has a very poor concept of responsibility. Not trying to be mean, but you need to really think about what you are doing here.

Do they give it extra HP? What else does it have? Maybe a transmogrifier?
financed it myself with an 11% apr... never doubted nor regreted my decision!
go to roadloans.com and they will give ya a loan without a cosigner...
im a strong believer that if you want a vette early on go for it, you never know how long youre gonna live.

Negative: Not listening to the answer
Gotta love that white coupe with brown flames hoo...boy....I know I would be the first one in line for the "Pimp My Ride" Vette!
The cherry on the sundae is the "chips" thing. Junior hasn't got a clue what he's talking about. What a dim bulb
