I just had a repair done on my Z06 - had a rock hit the windscreen from out of nowhere and put a "bb" type of hit on it.
I was reticent about having the whole thing replaced - so I allowed just the repair for now.
BTW - things like this are covered under my comprehensive with $0 deductible - maybe your policy is similar? Worth checking out anyway -
Since I live in a rural area (which means semi-annual pea-graveling of the roads...) I get rock chips regularly. I let them add up and then have them all done at one- I had my trucks windscreen replaced Tuesday.

Sorry about your luck that sucks. Just make sure after it's replaced and you go to clean the windshield you use the Stoners glass cleaner instead of 3M spray glue
Awww!! Darn the luck! I heard that in Florida they replace the windshield for free because its a 'safety hazzard'. Might be cheaper to register your car down there, get the new windshield and come back
So are you going HUD or non-HUD for the replacement?
Sorry to hear your misfortune... but glass is just glass....
I'd rather take a rock to the windshield than one to the hood.
Hey Grump, it's WTF... or did you mix it up on purpose?
Sorta like my ex-mother-in-law thinking she was getting the from a guy that was actually flipping her OFF!!

Oh man!!! You're killing me!!!
Sorry Grumpy.. that sucks...Been there done that but fortunately, not in the Vette... (yet)
Here's an idea.. all you guys on the fence of being kicked off the Forum can take up a collection for Grump to pay his deductible...

I'm surprised that you have a $250 deductible on glass. Most insurance companies allow a separate much lower deductible or even no deductible for glass - separate from the comprehensive deductible. Take a look at the fine print or better still call your agent.
My State Farm policy is $250 deductible comprehensive (fire, theft and vandalism) and $0 for glass.
And as far as the "karma" thing, - you control their "karma" here I'd show them "karma"!
Funny I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this one. Only mine are some paint chips ( not deep) on the hood. I figured I got them from following construction dump trucks. Just hate it when a new subdivision is being built. You got loose rocks that mess up the inner painted fender and and rocks from the tires from big rigs.
Going thru the same mess were i live...got nailed a few times and windshield has some minor pits..
