I recently started renting a garage to keep the Vette in over the winter. Well the entrance to the garage is way tight, and there is a concrete step up to drive onto to get in. It sucked getting it in there, and I ended up stalling it twice making sure I didn't hit my mirrors with about a total of 3 inches clearence (1.5 per side). I recall reading somewhere you can rotate the mirrors close in to the car. I gently attempted this but was a no go and I did not want to hurt anything.
Backing out is going to be a real problem it looks. Are the mirrors able to rotate in?
Yup, just swing em in. If you'll notice on the mirror itself there is a break between the mount and the mirror, it just swivels around that break. I swing mine in every time I wash the car.
They move.. but they have to be tight so they don't fold when you are going 170mph
My in-laws just bought a GS-400. They have feature that folds the mirrors in for tight parking spaces at the push of a button. Kinda cool I guess... just something else to break
Popping the rear deck lid and crawling out the back........................
I'm sure it opens up larger than the garage door width once inside. Can't say the question didn't go through my mind either.

I have a 2003, mine does. I think yours should be able to...
