I hate Fords. All of the Ford vehicles we've owned in our household have been horrendous.
The last one we owned was a '99 Ford Taurus. Get this...the car started leaking coolant, and I traced it to a cracked coolant reservoir . When I called the parts desk at the local Ford dealership, I asked the salesman if he had any reservoirs in stock. His reply: "Oh yeah, we have a ton of those. They crack all the time!".
Fords have always suffered from bad electrical systems and electronics.
I had problems with the gauges in my 88 Tbird for years and also if you drove with the fogs on for a length of time the head lights would start to cut out. I switched back to GM in 1998 and haven't looked back. Now that one of the Ford Family is now running the show over there Ford may start straighten out. When Nasser was running the show he really messed some things up.
hmm the list of problems with ford, tire problems causing the truck to roll, electrical problems, tranny problems(guy who owns an SVT Contour I know has replaced it twice), explosion issues......Reason for the FIRST ON THE RUBBISH DUMP name i spose eh? and they say the cobra is comp for our vettes...maybe if they dont drop their tranny....or have that horrid knock.....BLAH
