Default C5 compared to the C6

I know performace wise the C6 kills the C5 but when I compare the 2 cars the C5 just looks so much more sexy. I just feel the C5 has much better curves, especially noticeable at the front.

Do most people think the same or do they like the new styling? But having 500+ HP and doing the 1/4 mile in the 11's is sure as hell bloody good.

I will be able to buy a vette in a couple years and will probably be looking at maybe a 2001-2003 model. Will the prices come down further in a couple years for a 2001-2003 or will they hold from now on since maybe more people will like the look of them more?

I figure I will have about $20K to play with in buying one, hopefully I can find what I want in a couple years at that price.

I think you are confussing the 06 Z-06 with the regular C-6. The C-6 coupe or vert has only 400 hp. It's the new Z that has all the extra hp.

I like the smooth lines of the C5, better than the C6. That's why I traded my 1999 on a 2004, after seeing the C6 for the first time.

To me, they both look incredible. They are both great cars with their own unique styles. Hell, I still think the C4's look awesome. Just buy what you like and you will be happy with your pucrchase. I think in a few years, 20K will buy you a very nice 2001 or 2000.

Yeah sorry guys for the confusion I was thinking of the C6 Z06 with killer performance.

Are there any major differences in the years say from 2000-2004 in the C5? Is there a best year out of these to go for? Reason?

I am just trying to figure out if there is anything to take into consideration between the years of 2000-2004 model wise. Like if there were any major dramas in any of the years etc....

I don't think I would mind even buying a modded C5 Coupe with sopmething like 450hp that is cool. I just love the look of the cars, they really do look fantastic. It is really starting to become my dream car.

I used to like Ferraris but the C5 in my opinion looks awesome! I can't wait to buy one.

What's up with you? Damn some people are up tight. Search button, yes I do know of, in that case no one ever needs to make a post because I am sure all topics have been covered.

You are an ***.

Do a search, I'm sure you'll find no less than 200 or so threads on the C6 vs. C5. I'd say the opinion on the looks is split. As far as the performance. I wouldn't say that the 50 hp will "kill the C5" by any stretch, especially some of the C5's here on the forum.

I learned pretty quickly that some people (only a few) you just have to ignore! I mean don't even bother to reply to their totally IDIOT comments.
