Default Pressure Brake Bleeder

Ecklers has a pressure brake bleeder, item # 46104, that says it will work on any dual chamber master cylinder. It also states that it fits 1965 - 1982 Corvette master cylinders, sort of confusing.

It looks like a Motive system and I'd like to get some feedback on this unit. It's a small tank type that hold 2 quarts of fluid.

Has anyone used this type?

Will it work on a 2004 Z06?

Your comments are welcome.

I dont know about that one , but if you have an air compressor I would get something that would connect to it rather than pump it. The one that I have can be used for any car , truck , bike, ect,its made by mightymite , but have seen it made by other companys as well and looks very close to that one on ecklers but no pump.

I use the Motive power bleeder. Works great. But do not do as Motive Recomends and put brake fluid INTO the bleeder.

Take a 50 cc surange some ppl use a turkey baster and suck out all the old brake fluid out of the MC and replace with new brake fluid.

Then attach the cap of the Pwer bleeded to the MC and put 10-12psi into the pressure bleeder tank and bleed out the lines.

Watch the MC to make sure the fluid does not get low.

Good Luck

That is a Motive pressure bleeder and they are available in any number of catalogs. Both Summit Racing and Jeg's have them for a few bucks less and the shipping and handling will be less than the $11.50 that Eckler's charges for ground shipment.

Motive has different reservoir caps available so it can be used on almost any domestic or foreign car. The pump-up style works great at the track or wherever you don't have access to air pressure.

If you do a full brake fluid flush, it will take around a quart so having a container that big is very helpful as you don't have to stop and refill the M/C reservoir every so often.
