Default Lighting?

What is the best type of lighting to get for working on my car while in my garage? Thanks in advance for the help.

Probably the best kind would be when you flip the switch on the wall the room gets brighter.
Damn I crack myself up.

I like the drop down floresent lights ...i have four of them in my garage and it lights it up real good. Still gonna need a drop light to do work under the car no matter what lights you have. Just my .02 cents

I'm using 3 florescent 4 tube each - 120 watts each fixture x 3 = Plenty of light!

Got my fixtures from an office remodeling project. They were just going to toss them in the trash.

One mans junk is another mans treasure!

Thanks. I currently have one fluorescent light fixture and it tends to show every flaw in the paint (light scratches and such). Outside of my garage the paint looks perfect. Is this normal?

I have a 2 bulb, 8 ft fluorescent fixture over each vehicle stall and one over the workbench. These are the high output thing, or whatever you call them, the type that comes on immediately with no flickering even in the winter. It is a very good lighting system and they actually enhance the look of the cars.

I do have a couple of drop down fluorescents on a stick for working under the vehicle.
