The buffeting and wind noise is unbearable in the convertible (above 120 mph!)

I vote vert. Nothing beats the look with the top down.

Have a C2 coupe and a 99 vert. If I was forced to part with one it would be the coupe!

I have had both, the coupe with the top out to me has lots more wind noise and buffeting. Plus I con put the top down in about 20 sec and be gone. Just get the window valet makes the vert. easier to deal with.

Never driven in a FRC but i sure do like my vert. Couple of days ago it was 72 degrees here in Las Vegas. Couldn't resist putting the top down. But when it comes down to it you alone should make that decision....Happy Holidays my friend...

Tino said it all. But whatever you decide, you will enjoy. It's the most fun car I have ever owned

to both. Wife has the vert and I have a coupe. We love driving the vert with the top down, even some long drives in the country when it is 80 or 90 out side.

Car is bone stock. We thought about putting on a differnt exhuast but she likes the sound the way it is.

No matter which one you get you cant go wrong.

Corvette Convertibles and Florida weather go together like peas and mashed taters.

I agree with everyone else regarding the noise. With the top up it is overall quiet because of the design of the layering system. It can get noisy with the top down if you get the speed up but it feels so good.

Go with the vert.
Anyone have a good solution for the buffeting in the coupe? I play with the power windows to minimize it but maybe there is a better way.

Having had a vert BMW there is no better feeling than the top down in nice weather. But even in California a lot of the time it's either too warm, too cold or raining to have the top down. The coupe is a nice compromise, more storage space, cheaper. And if you have a glass top it has a nice look to gaze up at the sky.

Just my opinion, ymmv...

Though both are great. Living in the sunbelt make it a non decision. Unless you want to track it Vert all the way!!!! Just don't forget the sunglasses and sunblock!!!

I've had both and I now wouldn't consider anything but a Vert. As some above have said, they look and feel great with the top down. I also happen to think they look great with the top up. My top goes down anytime the temp is above 50
