New guy saying hello

Anyway got a 2k A4 Vert in June and think it is the best looking vette they have ever made. It was a one owner GM exec car with 20K miles. You could probably buy the same car for about $24-26 now. Your dealer friend might be able to get it for less. There are a lot of cars out there with low miles, i mean 15 to 25K and i would certainly look for that. Verts usually are a little more and options would make a difference. Personally i would look for Stock......
Option I would look for -
Hud - love it, eyes on the road and still see your speed etc.
Active handling system....provides some safety on wet roads and for over-steering
Sport Seats - most have but look great and electric
Performance axle ratio 3.15...a little more go at slower speeds still 27mph
Z51 Suspension .....would probably get it if available
Telescope Steering wheel....don't know where regular are set but I sit back and need the extension and can move it in to get out of car.
12 disk CD player - set it and forget it
A4 trans.....personal preference, if you like shifting go with 6 speed.
Memory option.....nice but not necessary unless two people driving the car.
If it has a Corsa or aftermarket exhaust and good rubber it's a plus.
Tell your dealer friend you want a 2k+ with around 20K and he should be able to find you one close to your price, maybe a little more with good options. If not you can find one yourself.
Good luck, get ready to wave and get a lot of lookers and compliments.

1. Buy the newest lowest mileage car you can afford. Don't get too hung up on year - unless you find a color that is specific to that year.
2. Don't compromise on your dream car - if you find the car you want and "gotta have it" - negotiate the best price you can, then go for it! And never doubt yourself or look back!
If you find a car you really like, and you want a little more information about it before you sign on the dotted line - send a private message with the VIN to Sponge Vette who can run the service and origination history on the car. You will be able to tell the build date, the in service date, all of the factory installed options and any service history that was performed under warranty by a dealer service department.
Good luck - and remember the only stupid question is the one unasked!
