Convertible Wind Noise
Reading a posting a couple of days ago and one of the forum members was concerned about wind noise on a potential convertible that he wanted to buy. It seemed from the responses that alot of vert owners do not have wind noise issues at all.
I intend on replacing the weatherstripping all the way around and making sure the windows are adjusted accordingly by one of the local Vette specialty shops.
My question is, would this be a waste of time, effort and most importantly money? Can the vert be made airtight? Mind is so bad right now that I can barely use my cell phone (hands free) when I am at highway speed.
Thanks

I'd look at windows first then weather stripping.
Good luck

My Vert is windtight. No excess noise at all at any speed.
It just needs adjusting. Your profile doesn't say what year your Vette is. If its out of warranty I have instructions on how to adjust it.

Same here...windows may need adjusting...do that first
Its at least worth a try until you can make a permanent adjustment.

10236330 - weatherseal, right window, upper rear
10236327 - weatherseal, left window, upper front

There is no wind noise with the hardtop on When everyone mentions "window adjustment" above, it is not the window that gets adjusted -- don't let anyone do this, it's the top itself.
