You just proved my point about fooling yourself... look at what you said
I HAVE ZERO DRONE .. now Zero means none, your next statement was: SURE YOU CAN HEAR IT ALITTLE....... so which one is it? Zero or alittle...
alittle means you have it.. just as I have said... and NO that is not the way muscle cars have to sound... Like I said , you are only fooling yourself, and you have, in open forum, proved my point about how Borla owners fool themself.
Drone: Means to make a continuous low dull humming or vibration sound: “Somewhere an electric fan droned without end” Even the stock C5 exhuast can be heard while at cruise. Hearing the exhaust tone and exhaust drone are two totally diffrent things.
WOW!!!!! We are passionate about our exhausts, aren't we. It comes down to personal preference and driving styles. IMO Borlas are perfect for a convertible. You can't hear any drone with the top down.
Thanks for the thanks.
Headers change the pulse width, and I have no expert advice on the multiplication of pulse widths due to different types of headers headers... sorry!
headers and cams and increased idle due to manifold vacuum loss makes the car sound louder at idle...many people opt for touring, or stock Titainum, just to keep the noise level down in these applications...Having delt directly with Corsa Engineers I'm offering my insight to those with stock internals on LS1/6.
Sounds like based on what you said and some others that the Pace Car in a straight cat-back application is nice but when you add headers that you may want to go to Touring.....hmmmmm
I just can't decide...I spoke with the people at Lingenfelter, and they seem to prefer Corsa..I liked the tour edition sound. If I chose Borla, I'm not clear on which model to select that would be similar....any advice?
What's the real question at hand???
Do you want your exhaust to sound meaner, more muscle car like??
or
Do you just want it to be louder at WOT??

Sorry to interrupt - I too am struggling with which version to install on a 2004 C-5 Coupe. I thought I read "somewhere" where after market exhaust systems can cuase the car's computer to throw fits. Anyone?
Just Damn why are you installing a after market exhaust anyway? to change the sound right? well guess what the sound is going to change so make your choice and just enjoy and forget about it it's a sports car enjoy the noise
They dont make different engineering models of the Borla stingers. This isn't rocket science... Ive been involved with noise canceling technology for ten years... We at GM went with Corsa because they offered what we wanted...
I say to each there own. I was goin to get the Corsa because I liked the way they sounded and a lot of people said they were the best. No doubt they are Great but I ended up goin with Borla. Once I heard The way borla sounded I was sold. It was exactly the sound that I was looking for. But Like I said to each there own. Everyone has a different sound they are looking for. I just suggest you go to a vette gathering some where and find some people with different exhaust and ask them to start there cars up so you can hear them. Then deside for your self. That is exactly what I did.

Just got done with the Corsa Tigershark Touring system about an hour ago. It sounds great, not to loud but very aggressive when you get on it. Has a very nice idle note, and a nice kinda rumble and pop when you rev up. The only weird thing is you cant hear much of anything in the cab, until you floor it, as advertised. Nice low note at 1500 to 2000. Of course got to be outside to hear it. The Touring System will let you know just how loud those Goodyears really are. There is no dobt that the stock exhaust is louder in the cab than out.
Update with Pictures.
Out and install took 35 minutes on rack. After warm up need to do a final adjustment on alignment. Still like the sound, not to loud.
"Be seen, not heard" To loud that is....
Good Luck.
BTW, many of the stock photos on the Tigershark tips are somewhat deceiving. Due to the nice bevel on tip, it appears in some photos that the tips really flare out, I tried to show exactly how they really look, they are not to large in reference to the car.
