AAA Is It Worth It?
when he saw the corvette. I told him it was an 01 and he said they didn't do 02's and some other ones. He called his supervisor who said to do it anyway!!! He said something about California/lawsuit etc. Anyway the battery is good now... but I would be sure they still do Corvettes. Maybe this guy just didn't want to do mine. But remember they send out independent contractors who I guess just might drive off. I WOULD HAVE BEEN PISSED OFF if the second guy drove off. This is all the info I have. Just be sure they still do the Corvettes. They might try to charge you a yearly fee and not do them, unbelievable as it sounds.............later

If they don't have a flatbed available for you, you and/or your car will sit on the freeway for hours while they're "looking" and you'll finally be forced to "seek commercial service" or call CHP and pay for one of their rotation trucks..Their motto here is "we're always with you."

Yup, its worth it---25 year member, CSAA/AAA. Its one bill that comes each year that I pay with a smile.

Probably have gotten 30 support calls for flat/blowout tire changes, dead battery, dead tranny, generator, accident tows, etc---and some other tows for things I can't quickly remember.
One 800-call does it all. I keep the number on cell phone speed-dial just in case.
Yes, the response times are all over the place, the best about 20min around time, the worst about 2 hours at 11pm out on the highway on a weekend. That's not CSAA's fault. They give the best estimate, and tell you to call back after waiting that time and then they give you a new estimate after finding out why the first delay happened.
The phone support folks are typically first rate.
Also, renewal and inspections at the local office, free plastic-key-thingies for emergency use, and of course---the maps and travel discounts.
