[Z06] Road Rage - MINE!
So instead of being the bigger man, I put on the brakes, went around the other side and used the 450+ RWHP to snake around him and get in front anyways.
Very childish. This much power on the street needs better judgement. I know I confirmed a stereotype of a hot head in a fast car for those who witnessed it, then again, the person right behind me might've felt like "right on"
! The guy wouldn't even get next to me on the next red light, still - I should've had better common sense. I leave my racing to the track or strip but I lost it tonight. Anyway, I feel better now that I let it out.

Yea , yea,,, yea I know,,, bad corvette driver!

Pio get yourself to the track or an High Perfromance Drivers Event, Not a drag race but road racing. Why ?? almost everyone who goes and spends several days a year on the track gets the high speed high power thrill of what it is really like to drive a 400+ HP corvette in a safe place.
Then when back on the street / highway your speeds and ego slow down to allow those A-Holes to just Go away.
Your better then they are, dont stoop to that low of a level.

You really increase your chances of having a catastrophic event, when you do things like this.. You could take the life of yourself, or other innocent people around you.. And your car could be toast..
Is it worth risking all of that, just to teach the guy a lesson?..
If you ended up losing control, and losing a leg, and killing two other inoocent people, yet the original guy you were pissed at ended up leaving the scene without a scratch to his car.. Wouldnt that suck?
Its just not worth it..
We (as males in general) can really do some stupid stuff, when we are angry and the adrenaline kicks in.. ANGER, a super light fiberglass car, and 405+ hp is a VERY dangerous combination... You're not thinking when you have rage.. You're just re-acting.. And that can get you killed.. You cant let this happen.. You have to force yourself to keep your composure and remember that you are literally driving a lethal weapon.
Believe me, this is coiming from the stereotypical "hot-head with a fast car" type of 30 something year old guy... I have done some pretty crazy things while driving in rush hour traffic.. But in the last year, I have finnally come to my senses.. Its just not worth the risk... Especially if you have a family!
Becareful everyone!

Enjoy your cars but dont drive with a Vendetta!

Purvis, what happened that you crashed?
If you're really upset, even pulling along side them and yelling at them, (not suggested, but it is better than driving crazy) is better than playing Road warrior in traffic. Its just too risky, especially when you are pissed off and not in your right mind...

BUT, when a damn ricer idiot is driving like, well a ricer idiot, you can allways give them a fair warning of some Z06 music and drown out the angry bumble bee in the fart can (thorw the ricer some revs and then invite him to the track).Hang in there brother! Heck last weekend a 350Z with no interior and carbon fiber hood and trunk rolled into the track and was eyeing me and talking.... then I saw hime run 14 flat and realized I would much rather run with my C-5 buddies.

I know how you feel. Good post.

People around base ask me almost everyday how I don't have any tickets.
LOTS of self discipline. That and I aint got caught yet.
I have found, while driving my Vette vise my IROC, that there is three types of people on the road around a Vette.
First type sees a Vette and wants to go 2 MPH faster then you no matter how fast you are going just to get in front a bit. They will block you in. Ride your rear or parallel you if traffic is tight. I call them A-holes.
Second type sees a Vette and stares. They forget about everything else on the road but your Vette. Looky lous.
Third sees a Vette and gets in the slow lane so you can pass. Vette owner in his/her other car.
The roads can be a dangerous place for a Vette, not just 'cause how "we" drive in them, but how other people drive around them.
Stay safe.
Most cars on the road are nowhere near as nice as our Z's.. Most people who are pissed off would not think twice about giveing you a little "love tap" with their front bumper.
Probably would do nothing to their POS, but to the Z, it could be horrible. And most likely, they will not have insurance.
Then again, Maybe I feel this way, because I drive in Philly..

Amen Uncle Ben!
