I was going to go and buy a torque wrench today and thought i should check the size of my lock, low and behold its 3/4" head? i looked at the lug nuts and they just say "metric" does anyone know what size the socket is? I figured i may as well pick that up as well that way i can keep it in the car.Its a 2002 coupe
Wheel nuts torque 100 Ft Lbs. 19MM lug nuts. Beware, torque reference is WITHOUT lubricant. Do not lubricate nuts.
Also, most Vettes have one locking lug per wheel.
Sort of like a 13mm and 1/2 inch... They are so close.
The 3/4 will work on your lug nuts just fine.....will have ZERO effect on torquing them down to 100 ft lbs.
REMEMBER to come back in a few days and RE-TORQUE them again. They will get loose - I was a non beleiver until one of my locking nuts worked itself off around 70 MPH.
Hit one of the spokes (on the back) and sounded like a cannon just went off!
