Default E-Zpass question [pic]

I just decided to get E-Zpass for a trip I am going to take and hate the look on the car...Is there a better way to do this?

I thought I've heard I could put it under the hood and it'll still work but I'd like to be sure "where" and how to make it stay put.

BTW…I know…it’s in the rain

Here in Illinois you're supposed to affix the I-Pass to the interior of the windshield by rearview mirror. I just lay mine on the dash so I don't have to put up the Velcro strips. I think it's been working. They haven't shown up at my front door with a warrant yet.

The one in my truck is behind the mirrow butI don't want to do that, hence this type. I don't like the [base] sticker either on my windshield but it's required to go to work.

I drilled 2 small holes and screwed it on.

Double sided tape or velcro is another way to attach it. Make sure the area where the tape goes is clean and it should stick forever.

I have the tag that goes on the inside of the windshield, it's velcro'd onto the windshield behind the rearview mirror. I can't see it from the drivers seat, and it can't be seen from the outside of the car.

good idea, but I wouldn't want to be looking at that thing whenever I put the visor down to keep the sun out of my face.

First you should know that they provide a special one for HUD coated windshields (C5) although I doubt it makes much difference.

I do not have mine nounts at all. I carry it in the front passenger seat or console until needed and when going through an EZ-Pass toll I just hold it up to the windshield as I am driving through and the EZ-Pass has had no problem picking up my info.

Is that your EZPass in the picture on the top of your license plate?

get the tag that goes on the inside of the windshield and put it as high as it will go behind the rearview mirror and you won't even notice it is there.

I like Rogue Wave's idea. You should try that out.

I carry mine in the center console and just hold it up when I need it BUT I don't use it very often at all, maybe 10-15 times per year.

If I used it regularly I think I'd try the under the hood set-up described above.

I like the idea of mounting it behind the front plate filler. Dumb question. What's the easiest way to remove it?
