It does feel different from stock, it doesn't move as much at low revs. You need to give it a little more gas. It's not as drastic as you make it sound. It's not bad, just different.
Sorry if I'm being alarmist. I don't mean to. It's just that a G5X3 may not be the right cam for everybody, depending on how you drive. But hey, it's all good!

This is fine too. Just don't think your 'normal' 1500 RPM start is going to feel any different than stock. It may even feel more sluggish, especially for us A4 drivers.
I so strongly disagree with you on this point. And I speak from FIRST HAND experience.
I installed a Comp Cams 234/240 598/608 114LSA cam into my stock heads LS1 with just the usual bolt ons - header system (inc. high flow cats/x-pipe), intake, and cat back. STOCK 2.73:1 gears and STOCK torque converter.
My car was more responsive throughout the entire RPM range, once tuned by Slowhawk of Dez Racing. It pulled much better from idle than stock and from 3000rpm - it was an uncontrollable animal. It made 384rwhp 364rwtq - but the numbers do not do the tune justice.
No bucking, no surging, no hunting for idle. 100% streetable in heavy traffic, slow traffic, open road or tight twisties.
I have since completely replaced the back half of my car - but that was in preparation for what's to come - some 800rwhp.
Again, this is first hand experience with more than 8,000 long distance highway and in-town short trip miles.

BTW I am new at this. I put my Bullets on and that is about all I feel comfortable doing on my own at this point. Hope to see you round town soon.
