Default Z16 Value Question

I know the value of any car is mostly based on condition, originality and milage. But in the case of the limited production Z16 (2025 total) is there any assumed value of this model with a lower production number such as (ie Car #225 of 2025 vs car #1732 of 2025 ? Assuming the condition is equal.
Thank You,

I can see of no value difference depending on #1-#2025, just mileage and condition.

Jack

maybe a little marketing tool if in addition to mileage and condition you have #1 or #2025.

They're all worth about the same (in same condition).

Condition & mileage. However, the fact that the Z16 was a limited production car, it should eventually show some increased value - but maybe not for many years.

Remember, as far a rarity goes. There were more Z-16's produced(2025) than any other color for 2004.

This is true, but the Z16 represents something special compared to a base Z06 (if you can call any Z06 a base). A similar comparison is a '96 Grand Sport VS a yellow '96. While they only made 488 yellow '96's, the Grand Sport still comands a premium over all other '96's simply because of what it is.

True, but if you have been following sales the Z16 is really the highest selling C5 out there in the used car market. Some are still bringing in over 40K. There is a moded one on ebay right now at 49K and still has not met reserve price.

True..but, the only Z06 and for that matter the only C5 produced with a carbon fiber hood. That will go down in history as a major accomplishment, as opposed to colors which are subjective.

I love the Z16, but I don't think it is a fair comparison to the '96 GS. The GS has wider wheels and tires and fender flares in addition to unique paint, decals, and badging and a 1000 total production. The Z16 has the paint, badging and decals, but the only other distinquishing feature is the carbon fibre hood. The wheel and tire combo and body are essentially the same as other Z06s and the production wasn't as limited. I do think the Z16 will bring a premium over other Z06s, but not like the GS will over other C4s.

RippiedZ06, I was only using the GS as a comparison. I wasn't trying to imply that the Z16 will demand the same money as a Grand Sport VS a regular '96 in years to come. Just the fact that they only made 1000 GS's puts it in a different category.

Then I guess we will just have to be in total agreement.

Well one thing is for Sure 2025 is no longer accurate, over 20 are abroad now and at least a dozen more are salvage. So numbers are dropping fast. I bought mine on looks alone, I wanted a ZO6 something and this car was it. As far as value, special edition anything in future years will have more value. The car is little more unique - period. I know fellow members who put stripes on there cars and must so they look good to. Bottom line whats your wallet tell you.

Except yours. The value drops when the piston rings are rusted on to the cylinder bores from lack of use

Don't forget, the only C5 Z06 with polished factory wheels, unique striping (first and only Z06 with striped).
