Default Short throw shifter

Don't mean to beat a dead horse. Do you have a Hurst, B & M, or BPP??? How do you like it?

I have the Hurst. I get a slight rattle at W.O.T. but id doesn't bother me at all. It's barely audible over the exhaust or stereo. I tried 2 fixes for that and they reduced it, but did not eliminate it.I love it compared to the mushy soft stocker!

I have a cutdown Mallett shifter that works smoother and quieter than the other popular brands, but it costs $450. Shifting is one of the most fun things we do...so nothing but the best. This is not an area to cost cut...but the majority do.

Hurst, with the C6 **** works well for me. I had to kluge the Hurst shifter boot to the stock lower boot to muffle the noise, but it works well.

Hurst here also but this weekend I'm trying out the new Z06 shifter. Stay tuned...

Update !

I installed the Z06 shifter yesterday. After having my Hurst for over two years now I must say that I really like the new shifter. It shifts so effortlessly compared to the Hurst. The gates are pretty tight but it is a little more throw than the Hurst.

Default Thank you all for your responses!!

I think Hurst has won! Are there different models that Hurst offers? Or is it the same on the C5 Z as the regular C5. I've read that there is one Hurst called 'precision.' It all just may be standard for Corvette with one shifter available...don't know
