Mid america and l'm sure other catalogs sell a strip of rubber weather stripping that fits where the hood comes down toward the nose. It's supposed to help keep the engine cleaner and redirect some air.
It is only on by adhesion is it worth it $20.
I am placing an order tomorrow so any info will be appreciated.
It is called a hood seal. I got one off of eBay for about $12 and it looks OEM. You can buy generic weatherstripping from a home store, but it looks crappy, in my opinion.
There is a general concensus that it adds as much as 15 HP .
I went to a Chevy dealership and bought one of the strips that goes along the SIDE of the engine bay/hood, and then just cut it to fit the front edge. Looks completely OEM 'cause it kind of is.

I have the seal on mine and it does seem to keep water from entering the front of the hood area (have Blackwing installed so I wanted it to stay dry), plus it seems to keep the dust down. You can probably find better deals than $20 out there.
