I'm a little reluctant to reply because it was just a test to see how it would look.
Here goes. COST: Maybe $.75
INSTRUCTIONS: I merely created the desired shape by pressing a piece of paper on the spoke to get a rough shape. I then cut the paper to fit. Next, I went around the shape with a magic marker to define the edges and then I scanned it. From there I used a graphic program to create the shape, duplicated the shape ten times for the rear and ten times for the front (different size wheels) and printed it on clear label sheets in black. Sprayed with Matte Finish to make it water proof. Cut the individual pieces just outside the black area (since it was printed on clear label sheets.) Then just peel and stick. It is not vinyl, so it is not totally permanent. When I find the proper material, I will make them again. Hope this made sense.
Excellent idea...great dyi/creativity....I'll be trying that approach to mine once spring gets here. I'll also bet someone swipes your idea and starts selling the "wagon fix".
Impressive, very creative! I work next door to a sign shop, does all the lettering for our trucks. I'll find out what something like that would cost and how much un-cut material is, if you'd like. Again, the creative minds around here is astounding.
