Thanks guys. I suspect I didn't clean up properly although I did staple to the board

I'll try again over the weekend. maybe I'll drink the alcohol if it keeps falling off

Hi DeeGee -

Nice!

Let us know how the velcro holds up -

I helped a friends wife buy a trunk liner from one of the forum vendors here - and it was beautiful - but it did not come with enough velcro, and after a short while it started to warp - pulling the velcro away -

It is now, sadly, sitting in his basement where we sip jack daniels and wish it could stay on the inside of the trunk...

Great idea -

thanks for the pictures and info!

best regards -

Nice work. Velcro can be a pain to work with. I've had to re-velcro my vent screens twice cause that stuff just won't stay stuck. Good luck!

I tried a stronger contact adhesive overnight. Looks to be fixed on a lot better now.

Next job is to see if my wife will embroider a Corvette emblem to fit in the center. I'd get out my needle and thread but the folks from Texas may flame me for that

By the way, to make the members in the North and East happier it's snowing in Vegas

Great weather for NASCAR weekend

While you were at Wally World buying carpet, you should have picked up a box of their Heavy Duty Industrial Velcro. It works pretty good. Also, it would be cool to sew an emblem in the carpet, but that same velcro tape will hold a regular C5 emblem. And if the plastic emblem pegs would happen to line up with the peg board holes, it could be a bonus if you could shave down the carpet a little and inset the emblem into the carpet. We are only limited by our imagination and funds!

I suspect my problem was lack of preparation of the surface and the wrong adhesive. Lets hope so anyway.

Nice idea about the emblem thanks

Nice job on the Trunk Lid Liner. Glad to hear the stronger adhesive is helping. Definitely need to get that done

Snow in Vegas, WOW!

Default Trunk Lid Liner, Part No Needed if available

Great job on the trunk lid. Do you have the SKU or part number for the carpet @ Wal Mart? I'd like to build the trunk liner for my FRC and am currently working on a foam based partition between the trunk and passenger compartment. The carpet looks like a good texture and color match. Will use for partition also.

As I thought, I had no joy getting the velcro to hold. The liner kept pulling away

I'd hoped to avoid having anything that showed but I ended up fitting 4 push clips at the top center and bottom of the liner.

It seems to be stuck on firm now.

Nice work

This is exactly what I was looking for so I can sound deaden my trunk lid and hide it behind a nice cover so it does not advertise "high $$ stereo install" when I open the trunk

Thanks
