Guys,
What Ranger said and many above. The MT ET st radials are the best for a quick wheel change then off to the track. I have run them on the street (to the track) and took a turn or two... Yes they work, but not as good as BFGs. If you are pushing on the street, slow down? :o Sorry but every time I hear someone complain about the street I can't help it Yea I can spin my 335s any time I want on the street but that is my fault.

From my experiance, if yuo want a sticky street tire, get some comp R's as they will make a very sticky street tire, great for HPDE. When you try and get a street strip tire, nothing does both realy good.

I have ran BFGs and MT Et and the MT are much better on the track. I just bought a CCW drag pack too to check out MT ETs and skinnies up front. More to follow.

Bluff Nittos would work but if you are not blessed by being a great driver (I am not blessed so I need every 10th) go with a drag only tire.

chief,

With your CCW's did you change tires to ET streets?
Let us know what you think of that set up compared to drag radials.

I just bought a 01 Z06 and I'm trying to decide on a track only set up right now and I thinking about using the bogarts with ET streets on the back and skinnes up front.

also Does anyone know if they make the Mickey thompson drag radial in a 18"
I can only find the BFG in a 18"?

I was running ET Street radials in 275 40 17. Great tire and on oem Z06 fronts (02 not 01) they are light as can be and do an awesome job. But, I was having issues esp when I added 390s. I could not get them to hook, and I was either getting a hop or a spin. It was still doing 1.60s but the laucnh was not right. When I did get it to not spin or hop, I was getting a bog and low 1.5s but it was still not right.

I hope to mount them today, 16s all around with skinnies up front and ET Streets out back 26 x 11.5 out back. I love CCWs and I hope I am not insane by having two sets now Hey when you can not polish the car any more, you can pull out the buffer wheel and go to work on the CCWs... oops that is my cue. I am off to have fun...
Dave
PS no track times today, as my 390s are off being freshened up, and with oem shafts in my 342, and no dte brace... I am not launching the car :o
