Question about Paint Match?

I'm a new forum member and also a new owner to a 2002 Speedway White coupe. My car wasn't ordered with the solid top and I would like to find one. I've done a little bit of research using the great resources found here on the forum (Thanks-you guys are great!) and have found that Speedway White was also offered in 2001 and 2003. Should a top from those years match my car?
Thanks in advance from someone who knows nothing about paint. :o

Oh, welcome to the forum..post some pics of your vette..like to see them.

Thanks for the reply..
I've been looking around on Ebay and in the parts section but what I'm really wondering is if I manage to find a 2001 or 2003 Speedway White top will it match my 2002 or does it have to be a 2002 to match?
The avatar is a photo of my 'Vette. It was taken in St. Augustine, FL in front of Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum on this past January 28. My second road trip. The first was to Bowling Green! I have more photos on Webshots. http://community.webshots.com/album/547490199fcUOuI
Thanks so much,

Your best bet is to get a top, no matter what color, and have a good paint shop paint it to match your car. They will tint the basic color to get an exact match... that is the only way to be sure of it matching.
I have an 04 CE coupe that came with the glass top only. I bought a silver top on EBay for about $300. I brought it to a body shop and they matched the paint 100%. You can see the top in my avatar. So ask around for a good body shop and when you get a good recommendation stop by see if they think if they can match the paint for you, Then buy one any color. Cost me $75 for paint so for $375 I got a great one. Just another option to try
Good Luck
