So I still live with my parents and I'm only 20 years old. Even though I make really good money that means I shouldn't own my 99' Corvette coupe that I bought last year?
College? Why would I waste the money on that. I went to a trade school to get the degree for my field which took 1 year. Now I've been working making more money than the average kid my age or the average adult. How does college make someone a better person? All it guarantees you is 100 grand in dept with loans and other crap you'll never use.
If you think College is expensive..............try ignorance!
If they are both way off i'd look closer that the car in person..
Speedway white Z's kick *** in my opinion.. Its worth deeper investigation.. Look for overspray and normal **** like that.. I've never really had a problem telling if the car has had some work done to it... If you cant tell, the job must have been done right, and would be acceptible to you, me, or anyone else that would buy the car.. If Carfax is clean and its got buy-back protection i would lose a whole lot of sleep at this time.
The emblem could have been caught in the buffer wheel too!? Never know!
First my grass is F**king dead, because my wife did not water while I work 14-16 hour days. Second, anyone who owns a vette is alright in my book. Third, white is a pain in the A** to keep clean, and Forth, the car is flagged in my book. Fenders, quarter panels are so modular on these car they can be removed and re-installed in under an hour. No reporting, no body shops. Move on. JMO.
ALMOST 50 POSTS and NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THE POWER ANTENNA???
I was thinkin the same thing but wassent sure...
As far as the house... first of all, we can't see the entire thing. We can see that it has: a large paved driveway, a garage! and large fence (so probably pretty good size back yard).
For the young bucks (I'm 28 myself) I encourage you to finish your education! I've dropped out of college twice, served in the military, and now I'm going back to finish school. If I knew what I know now when I was 20, I'd be much better off right now. At 23, I had a trade job (carpentry).. I THOUGHT I was making lots of money (decent cash but no degree=hard to move up where the serious $$$ is) Furthering your education will only make you smarter, wiser and wealthier Be easy!
Since 2003 I've mostly lived in a freaking tent in the desert!
I've thought of buying, but I think the property values in Iraq and Afghanistan could still drop a little and I'm not sure I trust my potential neighbors!

Lighten up guys!
Brian-
Someone outside the USA, and putting their life on the line for all us, and our way of life, while we bicker about off color comments can sure put things in perspective.
Thank you for keeping us safe, and stay safe yourself.
Mike,
(and I'm sure most of us sitting around on the weekend playing on the internet.)

This is funny, and not entirely in a positive way. A guy posts questions about a car he wants to buy and half of the responses are a pizzing match over what criteria should allow a person to have a corvette.
Well, anything could have happened to the badge. Someone decided to take it off, the molding could have just worn and it fallen off. The guy could have thought it looked better there, anything. You can always re-do that.
The body side molding does look a bit high in the front, but that could just be the angle of the pic.
The pic isn't good enuff for me to tell if it's a power ant.
I would agree, investigate more, the car may be fine. How much mileage and what's the price?
That antenna isnt powered, looks just like a stock one. If the car checks out then fine but therte are too many other good opps. around to stop at this one if it dosent pan out. As for the house thing, you cant see the house the car is in front of, may be niceer house than the one across the street. And yes, IMO you should live own your own before buying fancy cars. I would rather have a beater and a nice house vs opposite. And school does help, you may not use all of what you learn but college makes you a more well rounded person; very few people have succeded w/o college. Me personally, I wouldnt want a 50K car and a 100K house, I'd rather have a nice house then work on getting the car but some people are diff. A nice house is subjective too. BTW an apartment is not the same thing as owning a house, lot more responsiblity in home ownership.
Here is an old pic. of my Z facing the same direction. Note the badge location. I would also pop the hood and look at the passenger side cylinder head on the lower right hand corner. It should have 3 numbers (243) on the head where it meets the block. This signafies a LS6 cylinder head just as another tell tale sign to look for.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
