Vette essentials website has a good tutorial on removing parts from the seat when you install seat covers. Go there and check it out. Sorry no link. I'm not good at that kind of stuff. Basically there is a slot on the bottom of the handle and you push up on the clip with a thin blade to release it similar to an old door handle removal. only smaller.
Having done it I would suggest you take the seat out. It would be much easier. There are only 4 bolts on each and very accessible. It would take you ten mins most for each seat. Good Luck!

It's a lot easier to get at the side of the seat with it out - Eddie is right! Just follow the Vette Essentials instructions and you will be good to go!
since I'm Mechanically DECLINED, I will start with Removing the Passenger seat, that way if I can't put it back, worst case, wife can't come with me and I can still drive!

You really don't need to remove the seats to do the bezels. I've replaced my broken one's and all you need to do is get the seat as far forward and as far back as possible when you do each of the two screws that hold them in. It can be done.
Thanks for the tips, I did have trouble getting the front screws back in (still out) since I didn't take seats out looks good though and is still some what solid...
