Here awhile back he moved to a new fancy building. With all his bad press, for the life of me, I don't see how he is staying in business and making the payments on the building.
I will go to all the corvette sites and talk bad about them . JUST CORVETTES is not the place to deal with. SORRY to see others have the same dealings with them
Do they have a website? If so, send them a link to this thread
Is this who you are talking about? I've been looking around the web for different stores and had bookmarked them..... Thanks for the heads up if this is the site.
i knew them when they were in an old run down house on second street in north st. charles, and they were high on their parts then. when they moved to their new location, i have heard on the c4 forum that a lot of people won't deal with them because of high prices and poor quality of parts. he comes down here every february for corvette expo and i don't see how he makes enough money to pay his expenses to get here.
Yep - at Expo he basically made himself unwelcome - doubt if he'll be back
I think you misunderstood. The sign is a joke...but, oops, so is the company.
I understand it was supposed to a joke, but when you drive 45 minutes to get to a store in the middle of a day, only to find the store closed with a "joke" sign hanging on the door and no other indications as to what time the place will actually be open, it's not funny.
I tried to find a pic of the sign on the web but didn't have any luck. But I did find the basic wording:
Open most days about 9 or 10. Occasionally, as early as 7, but some days as late as 12 or 1. We close about 5:30 or 6:00. Occasionally, about 4 or 5, but some times as late as 11 or 12. Some days or afternoons, we aren't here at all.
Kinda reminds me of a hat I was given when I had my own business that said "I'm the boss and I can do what I want".

Guys, dont feel bad. I actually used to work for him a couple years ago, I was I think 24 at the time. Im friends with his son Pat. The owner is Dan Hughs. I could go on and on about the **** that goes on there. My job was to dissassemble cars to remove parts and to mail them to customers.

My name is Patrick and my father and I own Just Corvettes. Unfortunately Corvette Forum has been used to commit libel against our business.
Here are the facts:
Mr. Crowley bought a pair of sunvisors from us in December 2005 for $90 including shipping and handling which I have a copy of the sales receipt and also the credit card receipt.
Mr. Crowley on March 15 2006 posts on Corvetteforum.com that he broke the clips (himself) on his sunvisors and asked other members for help to rectify the problem. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...0&forum_id=103
Between March 15-18 2006 Mr. Crowley contacted my father claiming that he had just opened his package and found that the clips were broken on the sunvisors and we had sent them in this condition. Our policy clearly states on our invoices that 30 days are given to inspect the parts and return them if necessary (this is much more time than many other Corvette businesses in the industry) For this reason his return would not be accepted. He told my father that he would "bad mouth" us on Corvette Forum.com
After reading this post because a concerned member had sent me a copy I simply did a search on Mr. Crowleys name on Corvette Forum (CorvetteCrowley) and found that he admitted to breaking the sunvisors himself just days before libelling my company.
It is unfortunate that Corvetteforum has dishonest members like this. Thanks
Patrick Hughes
It's funny how everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon to complain about a company but when one of the members is proved to be making false statements against a Corvette business no one has anything to say.
Yep - at Expo he basically made himself unwelcome - doubt if he'll be back
That's interesting because we have been in business for 25 years and have been to every Houston Corvette Expo (except one year) since the early 1980s when they had their first show.
Well if CC doesn't speak up...it's not going to look good for him... I saw a similar situation unfold on a motorcycle site. The customer had an issue with a BMW shop. He had his ducks in a row when he started the thread in response to another person's inquiries about the shop. He backed up his complaint with scanned receipts of the work that was done. It got pretty ugly, but he kept his cool. When the shop owner finally found out, he stepped up and made it right. The customer made sure to update the thread with his satisfactory results...His credibility was never in doubt and after the event, it was even stronger
