The owner is very cocky, and very high on his price

I have read this entire thread. While I have no time for crappy service or a just a bad vendor, and appreciate a heads up on one ... This case is looking more like just a case of vengeance or malice.

Mr. Crowley, if you have something to add to this, please do ... Other wise it is looking like Patrick may be setting the record straight here and it's not appearing favorable on your part.

Where are you CC?? Pat's right. In your first post 3/15, you stated "I broke the clips". You then asked for help and Navy99vert responded and apparently sent clips to you. So, what's the scoop??

Maybe Mr. Crowley hasn't been back to visit this thread. Has anyone PM'd him to tell him this is being talked about again????

Oh and a buddy of mine tried to buy a saw blade wheel for his C-4. He was told it was perfect untill it arrived it was a piece of chit. They didn't want to give him his money back till he told the credit card company he wouldn't pay the bill. They are crappy business men!

Here are the facts:
Mr. Crowley bought a pair of sunvisors from us in December 2005 for $90 including shipping and handling which I have a copy of the sales receipt and also the credit card receipt.

Mr. Crowley on March 15 2006 posts on Corvetteforum.com that he broke the clips (himself) on his sunvisors and asked other members for help to rectify the problem.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...0&forum_id=103

Between March 15-18 2006 Mr. Crowley contacted my father claiming that he had just opened his package and found that the clips were broken on the sunvisors and we had sent them in this condition. Our policy clearly states on our invoices that 30 days are given to inspect the parts and return them if necessary (this is much more time than many other Corvette businesses in the industry) For this reason his return would not be accepted. He told my father that he would "bad mouth" us on Corvette Forum.com

After reading this post because a concerned member had sent me a copy I simply did a search on Mr. Crowleys name on Corvette Forum (CorvetteCrowley) and found that he admitted to breaking the sunvisors himself just days before libelling my company.

It is unfortunate that Corvetteforum has dishonest members like this. Thanks
Patrick Hughes
Yeah pal maybe so but there are enough stories out here about the way you do business and the way you treated me that I don't have to believe anyone else. I have first hand knowledge.

Unfortunately nothing in life is free especially when it comes to Corvette parts. Every piece is extra. It is like ordering a steak from a nice restaurant and getting upset that you have to pay extra for a Baked Potato. I do not know the exact details of your "deal" but if you came in person and looked at the piece and was not happy with the "deal" why did you still buy the part from us?

Again I do not know who your friend is or what the specifics of this transaction but I do not see why a walk in customer who never took the wheel for his car would ever have issue with getting his money back considering he never took the wheel. Does not add up. I am sure there is more to this story.

Nice.

So let's say you're in a expsensive restaurant eating a nice meal. After you and your non-existant friends finish the main course your waitress brings out a nice sample dessert tray and you see a yummy looking brownie convered in fudge with ice cream on the side. You ask the waitress "How much is that?", she replies "That's $20 dollars." Wow, that's expensive but you ARE in a fancy restaurant so you go ahead and order it. Then a few minutes later she shows up and puts a plate in front of you with just a brownie, no fudge and no ice cream. You're like "Hey, what's up? That's not what you showed me before and told me would cost me $20 dollars?" and she replies "Hey, you're in a fancy restaurant and you have to pay extra for the fudge and ice cream."

Thanks for reinforcing my decision to never visit your store again.

I live near the St. Louis area and the reference business establishment in question.

Should be interesting on how this thread turns out.

Ok so forget my friend I'll mention this post to him and he can jump if he wants to bother. But here is my story and there aren't anymore details to it then this. I came in one day and looked at the part agreed to a price and paid for it. Because it was to large to carry in my car I had to rent a trailer. Came back the next day to pick it up and the deck lid hinges had been removed. The man that I delt with would would not adjust the price or refund my money No mention was made when the deal was struck that the hinges were not included. Now tell me where I was wrong to feel I had been screwed. So don't come off with this crap that everthing is extra. How about I sell you a house and before you move in I take the doors and windows out of it after we agree on a price and you pay for it. You guys are just sore that you have gotten a bad reputation. You look at the reports on other vendors on this forum so and so "went above and beyond" " gave me good value" and on and on. People here don't just spend time trashing people for no good reason. Where there is smoke their usually fire. What happened to me happened over six years ago as I lived in KC back then. Untill I saw this post yesterday I only send somthing to my buddy with the sawblade wheel. After this post I have said all I care to. Before you starting to threaten people with libel you'd better be standing on firm ground.

Okay....so you lived in KC (227 miles from St. Louis) Drove to St. Louis looked at a deck lid. Drove back to KC. Drove back to STL the next day and picked up.

So if the deal was so terrible why did you accept the item the next day? Sounds like you were satisfied enough to take the item for what you paid.

Also, I still stand behind everything being sold seperatly.....there is nothing unreasonable about it...I guess I should have given you the whole parts car that the hinges were originally attached to...maybe thats why you got a trailer to transport a decklid...lol

I also have no problem with accusing Jim Crowley with libel.

This thread has certainly gotten interesting.

I would ask this question on the trunk lid deal. Did you tell him the hinges were not included when he paid for it or not?

Nice come back jackass. In direct relation to that comment, you would sell somebody a complete corvette and then when they came to pick it up you'd hand them only the deck lid.
