I would respectfully disagree. It took me four eBay auctions but I bought mine with 13K miles, nearly a year left on the factory warranty and significantly less $ from a private party - original owner.
Now in fairness the owner hadn't cared for the car well and I spent a solid four weekends getting the paint swirl free. Plus he used a quick lube shop to change the oils.
If you are willing to wait I suspect you can find a better deal but it IS getting to be top down weather for most of the country. Look at eBay and see what some completed listings did.
FYI a Corvette mag said to add $2500 for the "value" of the anniversary package.
If/when you get one you'll be very happy. Guess you have to decide how quickly you want to get to heaven
I did not end up getting it, but I had a dealer in Chicago down to 41,900 for a 50th anniversary with 5,200 miles on it a month ago. I think you can get a better deal if you keep looking.
Whether or not you can stand to wait is the question...if treated right, there is not much difference between 5000 anf 17000 miles, especially if you are impatient.
