The '04s were perhaps the strongest of the C5 Z06s made and it didn't win by as large a margin as the '01 did in it's video.
In this video, the C6 MN6 Z51 is said to be bone stock, the '04 Z06 has Borla Stingers on it.

In the comments, someone mentioned "Reason C6 was loosing after 4th gear is because the ratio is taller on the C6. C5 Z06 has better gearings." I tend to agree.... if they started from a second gear roll, which is what it looks like. Sounded like I heard three shifts. 1st through 4th the ratios are the same for the C5 Z06 and the Z51 manual C6. 5th is .71 for the Z51 C6 vs .84 for the C5 Z06.
It would be a drivers race.

Corvette quarterly tested an '04 CE Z06 against a C6 and came up with that result.
