Trying to settle a bet… A friend is buying a new C6 coupe and says it will dust the old ZO6 no problem. I’m calling him out on it.

Really? Oh s***! Why is that? Thought the ZO6 had 5 more HP and was geared better.

Supposedly a C5 coupe is faster(top speed) than a C5 Z06 because of aerodynamics but the Z06 is quicker.

Now between a C5 Z06 and a stock C6 it would be close. Probably come down to the driver

I would agree that the driver might just make all the difference but I'd stick with the C5 Z06.

if I am thinking of the same video, it was on Digital Corvettes website I think... the C5 Z slowly pulled away on the C6 as they got faster

again, comes down to driver, and if the C6 is a auto or 6 speed

I believe there was an article floating around where Dave Hill said the C5 Z was still a hair quicker

The C5 Z06 driver probably has more experience driving his beast, than the C6 driver - so I would say C5 Z06

I saw the video... The Z06 won every time. They even switch drivers and the Z still won. The only time the Z lost was when it was left with the Traction Control ON. I'll try to find that website and post it. It was a racing streaming video site.
