Thinking about going to the Michelin ZP. anyone know whats tire life is compared to the Goodyear RF?
epicshooter Try Tire Rack I think you can find them there.
I have 15000 miles on the Goodyear RF they seam to be getting noise as hell is this normal for RF? What is the life of RF at normal driving?
Thanks
I have 15,600+ miles on my '01 and had to change my stock Goodyears last week. The rears were close to worn out, they were real noisy, and the fronts had started to slip in turns. I also replaced them with the Michelins AS ZP's and the difference is terrific - much less road noise and the all-round handling is greatly improved. They are just not as wide as the GY's, but, they have a nice lip protection around the wheels.
You think they howl from normal driving, I occassionally autocross my 01 vert and it only has 10K miles on it. Autocrossing will take the corners off of the tires and they now make so much noise they sound like the rear is howling. I am getting ready to take these off and I am going to opt for non run flats. Either BFG KDWs or GY GS D3s.
