If they are wet sanding the damaged panels and do a good job, you might consider paying them to do the rest of the car so it matches up.
On a side note...just wondering why some people feel it is necessary to "quote" the original thread, pictures and all like on the previous page (three out of four posts)...just wasting bandwith. We all saw the original post...ok, I feel better now.
damn....I have a guy that does all my window tinting...going on 7 cars now plus my house, numerous friends and most recently recommended him to forum members...everyone raves about his work and he stands behind everything 100%..the guy is booked like there is no tommorow. I have never heard a bad word about him. I have no hestation to recommend him. I guess the best advice I can give here is always get a recommendation from people who have personal experience with someone.
buffed out! Not. No way that will buff out. I would demand a new car. Seriously. Repaint is no good in my book either.
Lets not panic, if the scratches are not fingernail deep they can be buffed out,Black does show everything, and if they are going to pay for the job to be done I would definetly be there when they did it, no matter how long it will take to finish.
Those scratches look terrible on your car, but seems you are taking it the best way possible, calmly. It also sounds like the service center is going to do whatever necessary to take care of you, which they should. Hopefully they'll be able to get them all out and it'll look better than ever. I still can't understand how those knuckleheads could lay all over your car like it was some old farm truck or something. Best of luck.
ouch, if someone did that to my vette, I would find the person responsible, and stab his jaw(he probably likes apple jolly ranchers anyways). Then I would grab a lawyer(minus the stabbing of the jaw factor)
man that is such a shame. Hold their feet to the fire and have your expectations of a reasonable outcome stated in advance. Their definition of what looks fine probably is not yours. I would not trust anything at this point. Trust is something that is earned not given. You have been violated. Make sure you take pics when you pick the vehicle up you probably will need them if this case goes to court.
Yeah, my previous Z06 was black ... I had to trade it in because I was tired of every leaf that fell on it leaving a swirl mark. When I took my car in to have the windows tinted, I watched the entire thing. Same with having my windshield replaced, waxed, washed, and so forth. I spend a lot of time watching other people around my car, lol.
I must be lucky, the guy I used to do the tints on my car was awesome. He did three of my previous cars. And did my vette twice because he wanted it to be perfect. Anybody in CT need tints pM me I'll let you know he is. BTW good luck that shop owes you$$.
