Can you get under the car on jackstands and kick it?
NEVER EVER EVER get under the car and kick a stuck part. You are liable to have the car slip the jack stand and kill you

OR

we might end up replacing the horse with you

We'd be beating you for doing something so stupid!

You know this because as you noted, the lugs aren't supporting the wheels, only retaining them. Lowering the car's weight on the unretained wheels likely won't do a thing, since the wheel's center bore is still over the hub...which is exactly the place it is stuck.

This isn't a problem exclusive to any car make or model.
The stuck condition is caused by mounting aluminum wheels against steel hubs. Dissimilar metals in contact with one another cause rapid corrosion, and yes, often produce this problem.

A very light coat of anti-sieze spread around the center hub (Not the lugs) will prevent this from occuring again.

I actually put the anti-seize on the wheel, but same thing. I put a drop on the lugs though too, although the manual recommends against it since its a lubricant.

BTW, my best luck unsticking a stuck wheel has just been to hit it w/ liquid wrench (yellow can at wally world) and let it sit for a minute, then jack it so the tire is juuuust above the ground, sit down, and then kick the bottom by the tire with my heel.

You guys must either drive alot in the rain or leave your cars out in the rain, cause I've been removing wheels on my Corvettes for the last 26 years and never had a stuck one. Now I've had stuck lug nuts, but that's because of an over zealous tire installer (wife's Honda).
