I'm looking at a 02 Z06 with 63K for $28,995.

If the overall condition is excellent that is a good price.

Heres My advice, pay what you think you will be happy paying...
Here are some numbers to compare it to

Last July, I paid 35,500 for an 02 with 3400 miles on it... People said I overpaid then.... I took the thing to a local mechanic ( forum vendor on here) and had them check it out first to make sure there were no hidden goodies I would find later....

$39,900 for that? TOO MUCH!

KBB Retail value is $38,800... so you would be paying well over RETAIL value for a car...

$35-36k would be a doable price for that... $37 if he wont budge down that low would be ok, as long as it doesnt kill you to do it and as long as it seems like a good price to you!

Just remember... there will ALWAYS be another one out there...

EDIT:

I just ran the same KBB report for Manchester, NY, and the Retail value was 36,700ish! The one I ran before was for California... so 39,900 is definately too high... but an 02 with super low miles is rare now, so $37 would be good, but $35-$36 would be better

BTW: keep this in mind... getting a warranty for it... 02's aren't eligible for GM extended warranty, and some 03's are now running out of time... I think its worth it to get a mid year 03 and still be able to extend the GM warranty... I couldn't on mine, missed it by 3 months... regretting it...

Besides, 03's have the same colors as 02's and they are the anniversary models...

I sold my 03 Z with 18K miles and over $7K in mods to include the extended 48 mo ZERO deductable warranty for $34K this past Jan. $39K is rather HIGH.

Most everyone has said it. 39,900 is toooooo much for a used 02 regardless of mileage. I will sell you my 04 Black on Black with a bit more mileage since I do drive it for 35K. Anyhow good luck in your search. If you really think it is worth 40K than go for it. I would not do it though.
