Default first mod? TC or intake?

Hey guys,

A while back I had posted about the best type of perf. mods to get for less than 1K; anyway, now that its spring I am ready to do my first mod, however I am torn between the Varaam or a TC. Of these two, which do you think will provide the most noticeable increase in performance/ fun factor?? (Especially in the low end, 0-60 etc...).

Also what type of stall do you recommend I get if I am only going to do intake/exhaust and a tune? And where do you recommend buying it from/best price?

BTW its 2001 a4 w/ 3.15

Thanks in advance

Intake is by far the best bang for the buck - bar none.

After that - gears.

Only help i can offer if you are going to go to a supercharger or turbo hold off and save your money. I went with a Hurricane intake. Wish i had waited only because of the added expense i incurred later when i went turbo.

no question, a torque converter will cut .5 seconds off your 0-60 time if, and i mean if you dont blow the tires off the pavement.

However a new one and the cost of install will most likely exceed the $1000.00 he mentioned in his first post.
