free if you modify your stock 9005 hi beam lights to the 9006 low beam housings.

+40 if you get silverstars to do the same mod. (this is what i did)

+1000 if you get actual HIDs. (i'm getting them soon)

Those are all good options

You might also consider the high wattage Euro Headlights:

http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.m...ode=VTLIGHTING

Not as bright as HIDs but way cheaper.

Yes, DeeGee is right we both have Euro T84 lights, and they are WAAAY better than stock, should've been on the US cars from the get go. They are about $300 give or take with good bulbs(im just using 55/65 W lights, but with 12 gauge wiring kit, you can use 90/110W or more). However you cannot currently beat the lighting of HID lights, and southern car parts( a forum vendor) is offering GP discount pricing right now on a great set. I may be buying a set from them so my current T84setup may be up for sale soon. Give Southern car parts an email!

I have the high wattage (90/135W) Euro's purchased from PFYC and I love them. I had to put on PIAA 1100 driving lights about three years ago for added light, since I got the Euro's I have not used the driving lights. I have HID's on my CTS-V and there is not much difference between those and the Euro's..

Southern Car parts and TBRYNE are both having a tremendous sale on the HIDs right now. The lights are incredible!

You might want to consider getting them from the person who knows everything about the kit.
I did all of the final fitment and mold changes for the system.
All the magazine articles are my kit's.
I do not drop ship my kits I know better.

Regards
Brian

I just noticed on tbyrne's post that they do NOT have Corvette-specific instructions. There are some VERY specific things you need to know and modify or the lights will not fit and adjust correctly. The kits from Brian are all upgraded from the drop-ship models and give you specific installation instructions for the best fit and function of any kit out there.

I have been considering HID's....My understanding is that all the kits are from ACA Performance being re-sold by T-Byrne, Southern Car Parts, and Vette-HID. Both Southern and Vette-HID have Vette Specific instuctions. My understanding is that with all kits, there is some grinding needed in the stock headlamp assembly? Is this correct, or have any of the vendors made it so grinding is not needed?

Thanks,

Everett

no grinding needed, but there is a little "modification" that needs to be done. but it's no big deal.

Do tell please....I need to know what I am getting into. Everyone seems so aloof on this subject. SCparts is the only vendor so far who has given me a straight answer.

I cannot imagine that one vendors installation would be so different from anothers all selling the same product. I will buy Vette-HID's if I knew for sure there was not cutting or grinding, but cannot get an answer.

Thanks in advance,

Everett

Another $38 option is to put 9005 Silverstars in where the 9006 normally go. It is very easy to mod this and does not in any way alter he car....just the bulbs.

Much more light, and the usual whiter beam of the Silverstars.

EM me if you want the instructions.

I only know about the Vette-HID kit but I'm assuming anyone using the ACA Performance housings need the same thing. The Vette-HID requires a little trimming of the mounting to clear the HID projector. The projector is much longer than the factory lamp so to make them fit there is a little that needs to be removed to make room for the longer projector. I can snap a photo of this if you like, I still have my lights out of the car. It really is a very small amount that needs to be removed.

My kits are different I give you options.
I also can walk you thru the install if needed.
Remember I have installed 30 kits personally.
We have sold over 100 kits.
You decide what is best avenue for your purchase.
I had the exclusive for 6 mos on the system.
I also carry extra parts on the shelf.
Good luck with that from other vendors.
I replace parts with no questions asked in most cases.

IS YOUR KIT A VETTE-HID KIT?
