Check for rear differential seal leaks, rocking seats, if a manual equipped car see if any column lock work has been done. I had problems with the fuel sending units in my '99 - they would not read the fuel level properly. Not saying that the one you are looking at will have these problems - they are just common issues that occur. Good luck if you decide to buy it.

Welcome to the club, see you on the wave!

I love my '99..now that I'm looking my trim piece behind my driver's door handle is missing as well...only issue I've had thus far.

I purchased my 99 Navy vert MN6 new. Ordered it and waited for 3 months to pick it up in Atlantic City. It now has 62k on it. Had steering column lock fixed twice (now under lifetime GM warr), 2 different computers changed (prob from leaving top down for months at a time - moisture - one was warr), recovered the seats (this month myself), replaced blower motor (done) and wiper computer controller (waiting for part $50 from rockauto - not avail from dealer), replaced trunk pistons (15 bucks & 2 minutes), replaced belt tentioner (now noisy - waiting for part $50) my 3rd set of tires is fading. Had the door insert issues. Just readjusted the ebrake manually - that had not worked for 2 years (easy fix). I am about to try the DIY trans leak fix as it has been leaking for years - got bad this year. There is probably more I have forgotten. I am not complaining; after all this, I LOVE THIS CAR! I have had it for 7 years and I drive it all year long in the NE. Everything is stock ex for polished thin spokes from an '02 and some other dressup items.

Plans for this season if it ever stops raining:
1. Do the 01-08-64-009 service bullitin to get rid of the door rattles.
2. Trans fix (ASAP) using vacuum trick???
3. New drilled rotors, powder coated calipers and ceramic pads

Welcome and good luck!

Oil issues were in 00 and 01, not 99.

Column lock by pass is a must.

There was a recall on the seat belt (passenger side).

I cannot say much about the engine - bought mine new, so far have had the OEM, then a 421 stroker, not a LPE 427.

And, only 12,000 miles!!!!!

I purchased my '99 Coupe 2 years ago. No regrets.
Mine is Torch Red Auto. It now has 24,000 miles on it.
Very few problems and a dream to drive.
