Hey guys....I was wondering what experiences forum members have had with Iforged...So far, I am not pleased with my experience with the company. I placed an order for 19x9.5 and 20x11 black Daytonas on April 10th and the wheels have not even shipped yet. Whenever I call the company it is almost impossible to get a hold of anybody there. All I get are answering machines. When I do finally speak with a representative, they don't give me much info. It is usually an excuse as to why the wheels are taking so long. What do you guys recommend that I do?...I don't think I could ever recommend this company to anybody.....

Tell them you'll put a stop on you credit card.
Seriously, this stinks to hear. Being a custom wheel (more or less), you'd expect some time to deliver, but more than a month with no story is excessive.
I am going thru the same thing right now!!!! I ordered 19/20" Iforged evolutions in april they are telling me that they are in polishing????!!!! Here is what I wrote Derrick, from D-2 autoworks my middle man with Ifroged about what I think.....
I am not sure how this purchase of these wheels works... I got billed 100% of the money for them....and I have an open delivery date? I would understand 50% down and 50% when they ship with a flexible delivery date, but not 100% down. Can you explain why I had to pay all the money up front and I have no idea when I am getting my rims.... I thought around June 1st was would have been 6 weeks from the order which was quoted at 4-6 weeks. Now..... I don't want a rush job at this point to get me these rims, I already will miss the show I wanted them for anyway so I want a top quality job. I just think this purchase is not very customer friendly. I run a Tool&Die shop and our customers pay 90 days after they receive there product. I get no money up front. I still have a delivery date I have to hold or I get no repeat business.....I guess things are different in the rim business. I don't know if you at D-2 needed the money upfront Or Iforged?
This is a whole different subject but I found out a really cool set up after I ordered my rims where I could do mini tubs and fit 13.5" rims in the rear of my car... I called Vincent at Iforged and asked him if I waited until he could sell my rims seen as I paid for them already could he then build me a whole new set compltely changing the sizes.... and he just plain said no. I the customer am the one that get the short end of the stick "so to speak".
Now don't get me wrong these are very nice rims and I know I will love them once I get them!!!!! I just had to vent sorry.....
To me, the lack of customer service/satisfaction you have received so far is a tell tale sign of what to expect if you ever have rim related issues after you actually have the rims. I say get a refund and buy elsewhere.
This was the problem when Iforged came out. All money up front and extremely long delivery times. I would contact your credit card company before it's too late. Good Luck, beautiful wheels but many horror stories.

I didnt order the wheels from a vendor. I ordered them directly from Iforged in California. They did not take all the money up front. They took 50% up front and they said they will take the other 50% upon completion....its not the money....I just want the wheels already and I don't like to get the run around....

Well, I am really hoping that once the wheels are on I will never have an issue......

The bottom line is they have major issues delivering on time. I don't think anyone got burned, just major delays on delivery.
Seems like this situation repeats itself every 6 months or so. Its very unfortunate, the wheels are beautiful.
I will never understand why someone would choose to do business like this, but in the aftermarket parts world I have run across several that seem to get away with it. As someone else mentioned, this would never happen in most industries.
It seems people are so impressed by the finished product they put up with this crap. I was lucky, I bought mine used, so I got them immediately, and saved a little money.
Good luck to you guys! I can tell you my wheels draw more attention on my car than any other mod I have done. Although I may be perpetuating the arrogant actions of this company, in the end, I am happy with the wheels.
From my limited experience of buying one set of iForged wheels, I've found it's a mixed bag of emotions. Yes, you will be frusterated with the customer service. Yes, you will be disappointed in the time it take to get the wheels. Yes, you will be pissed if there are mistakes with your order. Yes, you will LOVE your wheels when you get them. For me, my gloss black iForged Aeros are the best looking wheels ever made and I was willing to put up with all the hassles to get them. After bolting the wheels on the car, I'm glad I did. Would I ever buy another set of iForged wheels, knowing all that I'd have to go through again to get them? Possibly - I'd certainly look at other options first and see if I can find something I like almost as much, without all the hassle. They do make incredible wheels though.
I asked several members on this forum who had Iforged about them and got a 50/50 response. So I called them up personally and didn't find them very helpful. At one point I got the feeling they doubted I was serious about ever buying wheels. So I called CCW and got way better service. What I do for a living customer service is everything so I rather give money to someone who thinks my way.

Customer service is such an essential parameter. Period!
This is wheel season and iForged has a lot of the production of their rims completed via other vendors. I was told 6-8 weeks last year on mine and they took 8-1/2 weeks before I was called for the 2nd 50%. Plated or painted wheels adds another vendor and easily adds 2-3 weeks.
I met Vince in person last year. He and I worked on the final dimensions for my rear wheels together. In the 90 minutes I was there, he took over 20 calls. His incoming e:mail screen was just crazy. He said from April through September, he works 6-7 days per week and is lucky to sleep more than 4 hours on a given night. They are still a small company trying to meet an unexpected worldwide demand for their wheels. And they make wheels for many, many cars. The vette market is just one small segment.
I'm not defending their poor customer service, but they are still quite cheaper than HRE and other similar wheels and IMO it's because they decided not to add the additional layers of admin etc. since they're still selling a ton of wheels.
Be patient, you'll love what you get when they arrive.
I ordered mine a week ago and was told 5-6 weeks delivery. Mine are just polished and the vendor I ordered through said the delivery time was consistent with other orders.
Tom, hi it's Dale. I have dealt with Derrick. He seems like a good guy to me. He only requested 50% down from me and the rest on delivery. I don't think that was right. Everyone has complained about Vince and I-Forged. It's a shame, I love their wheels like alot of people, but I kept my HRE's because of all the negativety I read on the forum. I think customer service is the most important, just ask people that have dealt with companies like VetteEssentials. Good luck, I would put my credit card company on notice, they will put a note on your account to show you are having problems. Then when things go really wrong another month down the road, they will understand and be right there fighting the fight for youl. Good luck. I think Derrick can talk to Vince and probably get more answers than you. For some reason that guy can be short and rude at times. One other thing that stopped me from ordering, I saw brand new wheels that were still on the truck at a vendors place and he showed them to me. The wheels had nicks and scratches throughout, it wasn't the first time I have seen that with their wheels. I expect the wheels to be perfect for the money we pay. It just becomes too much of a hassle.
