Default Vette Essentials Embroidered Steering Wheel

Anyone running one of these in their car? VE recommends for show only cars, I am assuming because of the fading or other issues with the embroidery. Just wondering how it holds up in a car that is "not show only"? I love the steering wheel and have bought a used one to get done, but am not sure on the durability.

I am running one but it is not a daily driver.

Color of thread is one issue to think about. I went with black just to make sure the thread doesn't look dirty.

Second is snags, I am very careful about this issue and have yet to have a problem.

It should be fine as long as you don't keep your hands on the embroidery. Just keep your hand s on the top of the wheel.

I am careful to avoid grasping the wheel where the letters are which is not
that hard to do (IMO). Would depend on your driving style. I've had it well
over a year and it holding up great, but its not a DD. Its great;

I purchased VE Custom seats. also purchased the wheel.

Havent had a snag issue but I did not know black letters were available on the RED Color wheel. I saw a pic of RED letters ON a BLACK WHEEL So I thought that was the only option. The RED part of the wheeL isnt an issue but the RED letters are a big issue.

Right now I'm tired of cleaning the RED Letters. i emailed Ken before he passed. 3 WEEKS ago I spoke with matt who said he would gEt back to me but I havent pushed it becasue of the situation. But I also want to be happy with the wheel especialy because I plan on purchasing a VE C6 *** and Boot and maybe center console if Sandy can create my design.

This may a stupid suggestion, but why not wear driving gloves? I'm wearing gloves to try and preserve the stock wheel on my 1985...

Is that a decal on your center armrest or is it embroidered?

You put on gloves every time you drive the car? I mean I wear gloves when she's on the track but not in the street.

BTW, gloves get dirty too and that will rub off on the letters.

I'm runnign with an embroidered wheel but she's a weekend warrior. I too try to avoid the stiching and since I drive the car with one hand at 10:00 or 2:00, its not that hard to do. I too was skeptical about the embroidering but am very glad I got...
