The arrows and bogey counter are worth the extra money to me.

I always wanted a valentine 1, but for $300+ and to have the thing sitting in plain view in my windshield, It's an open invitation for a thief!

It doesn't have to stay in open view. I move mine from car to car easily, and that's with the power cord hardwired in the C5 from the passenger fuse panel and run inside the A pillar to the rearview mirror area.

Did you have the new Passport 8500 X50? I just couldn't stand all the false signals of the V1 and yes I tried a number of different setting. It's just not meant for Suburban driving especial if you live near a major mall.

My V1 is hidden. Cannot be seen from outside my car and it's hardwired in. And the V1 is $400, BTW.

By the way - The V1 Remote sells for $35 on the Valentine 1 website. Your $800 is for a V1 Remote etched into a mirror with 4 wires.
