And what should we do with people who maybe have more critical things at hand like, possibly paying attention to operating their vehicle safely,or making a shift? Failure to not bow down when you pass by is not a capitol crime ,felony or even a misdemeanor.

Heres a wake up call. You are not that important. (GROW UP !)

Have a bad night? The wave seems to be just a feel good thing that
guys with corvettes enjoy. I've lived in a small town most of my life and wave to half the people in it, it takes just a second to give it and
makes the other guy proud you took the time to notice him. This wave thing has been beat to death, but this guy didn't deserve a stake to the heart!!!:

Wow, I must be in OT again. Damn, let me check, no, it's General.

Poor Guy makes a comment about an accepted Corvette enthusiast practice and gets flammed worse than OT.

So for all you, holier than thou, too proud too wave guys, keep your nose in the air and your eyes on the road and your nasty comments to yourselves.

You would think someone earning his living off Corvettes would have the courtesy (or spirit) to wave back.

Oh well, I'll keep waving, both "up" and "down."

Wow... this is

I consider waving at a Vette like saluting in the military. You salute the rank and not the person wearing it.

Therefore, if I don't get a wave back... I paid my respects to the Vette. Problem solved.

I am a business owner and I feel like the original poster, that if someone is iconic in the Corvette community and makes his living (prob. a good one too, ) off of Corvette's and their owners, then he should be waving a smiling to everyone (unless this man has already had a problem with original poster, then no wave but evil stare,, which is understandable ) because it's good for business. Wave is accepted among the Corvette enthusiasts (not normal owners, and a vette vendor is considered an enthusiast, so he SHOULD WAVE) as a way to acknowledge and feel that camraderie that we all enjoy, so for OP to feel slighted by a man he possibly spends money with. Also point taken for his mind could have been on more important things, so no reason to get mad and upset over it either.

I am a member of ls1tech, 3si(3000gt vr4 and twin-turbo stealth), supraforums, ls1.com, and some of the other vette sites, and I am suprised at how you guys jumped on this guy,( even if he deserved it EG, and even tho the "No Wave" topic is a Civil War battlefield of dead horses), because this board is the classiest and most noble of all the sites that I am a member. Lets keep it that way.

He probably seen your car and it jogged his memory, then he was thinking "Did I tighten up that torque tube after the phone rang???" that would explain the blank stare.

I wave at all Vettes - even when I'm driving my DD. Most don't wave back - BFD.
Sometimes, people wave at me and I either see them too late or see them out of the corner of my eye. So I didn't wave back.... Again, BFG.

This is a stupid thread.
