get the C6 shifter . You will be pleasantly suprised. It has a wonderfull feel to it, not the short rigid movement of a Hurst or B&M, but rather a smooth flow like the C5 but even smoother. It seems more precise is the best way I can explain it. Also carries a much lower profile. I'm sorry to say that I didnt do it when I first saw other C5 owners doing it a year ago. But better late than never
Gs Creation does make a C6 shift that fits a C5. I have a B&M shifter and two days I go I installed the C6 shift **** on it. It took 4 min. to install. Looks and feels great. This is just the **** not the shift unit.
They sell on Ebay, here is the link
CULOOKIN's setup is perfect...looks factory all the way....I think I will order it as well. Does anyone have the part number for fred beans? Want to see thier price compared to the ebay guy....
How much is the C6 unit going for? Is it also a short throw like the Ripper or Hurst?
From what i understand the regular C6 shifter doesn't reduce the throws much. You want the C6 Z06 shifter. Fred Beans sells a "kit" that includes the shifter and **** for around $200 shipped. I got it, but haven't installed it yet.
I do too ! ! ! I have been tossing around the idea of placing the entire C6 shifter in mine, but I am not sure if it will fit.....
fits better than a glove. But its not a DIY, atleasts not for me. I think there is a prefab that you have to do but many CF members have done it. I had 21CMC do it when they were putting in an oil cooler. I luv it!

Nothing like a Ripper or Hurst. Those are very rigid shifts. I'm sure thereis a benefit but
the rigidity is not for me. The C6 is a slightly shorter throw than the C5 but is even smoother. And I like the low profile.

Exactly why i got it. Go test drive a new C6 to get the feel for it, thats what i did.. lol The throw is probably 30% less than the stock C5 unit, if i had to guess, and like he said its alot smoother and about an inch or so shorter. I got a used C6 shifter on this forum for $80 shipped, ordered an aftermarket **** for $50, and sold my old one on here for $35.
