Took it ot for a little while today, saw 1 C6, 4 C5, 1 C4,
Got one wave its was from a C5 behind me waving to let me back up so a truck could make a sharp trun.
I wave at them all and I think I average about 50% return waves. Don't really care if I don't get a wave. I just figure they are doing something else and missed me
I was out the other day with a friend coming back from another friends house. I was making a left at a light and saw a 97' who was stopped at the intersection.
I gave him a little wave and he returned it! I have only seen maybe 2-3 on the road by me so far though, but Ive only had the car 2 weeks now. Thought there would be more over by me. Too bad where I live people spend too much money on Porsche's and stuff... All that luxury crap. Wheres the American Muscle at!?!
I don't even own a vette... hell, I can't even drive yet(even though i actually know how to drive ) and I still give vettes thumbs up. There's hope for the future yet
I swear I'm going to stop waving if I see another 'wave' thread.
This is a major dupe topic, and this is now, my standard locking reply:
As much as we like our cars, and the waves that have been shared over the years, we have to come to the realization that it's not always going to happen
Let's look at some reasons why some don't wave:
1) the non-waver may have something on his/her mind and didn't notice your wave or vette.
2) he/she may have been looking to the right when you were waving on the left.
3) the driver/owner doesn't know about the "wave."
4) the driver's reactions are slow and he/she was just too late getting to the wave. Remember, according to some, only middle aged and older men having their midlife crisis own vettes
5) and the dreaded, it's a car and I don't want to freakin wave back.
Although these are just some examples, we have to accept that it's not always going to happen, and we cannot take it personal.

Yeah there's all those reasons and I'm relatively new and this subject is getting old but,
SAVE THE WAVE, THIS IS AMERICA AND BE PROUD!!
We of the Corvette Forum must remember that the Corvette is special, and the thinking of who cares about the wave is just another example of how today's society can wear down important time-honored traditions such as: Dinner at the family table, marriage, heterosexuality, honor, man-of-your-word kind of life that some of us still live bu most of the world is letting slip thru the cracks of technology and self-absorption.
