Recently purchased a 2000 C5 and sold my 88 C4..With the C5 it seems that I scrape the front spoiler constantly...going up drive ways...any slight change in road level seems to scrape much more than the C4 ..is this normal?
Is the car lowered or at the stock height. When my car was at the stock height I very seldom scraped and now slammed it happens all the time and I do not mind as I like the lowered look much more
It is normal. On my 99 and I assume on the others, that spoiler is hinged to roll back when its scraped. They were so aware that this is normal, it even says in the manual that the front spoiler may scrape from time to time and you should consider it to be normal. Just go slow when you see those dips at parking lot exits, etc.
