Default Jacking Puck

I intend to purchase a side jacking puck to fit a 2000 Coupe. While I can appreciate that the best purchase would be the metal (about $59.00) are there less expensive that work properly? I see that Ebay sells some for about $20. Do they work? Can they be mounted permanently? Are there other types that you guys would recommend that are equally inexpensive? Thanks.

HI
I 4 hockey pucks with eye hooks for pads, but I do not leave them on. Some other members have purchased pads that are sold from BWM, I heard they fit perfectly and you can leave them on. I have to look for the part #, I now I have it. Cost about 6 bucks each.

both good suggestions

That said, the Elite Engineering pucks are a work of art.

Another thought, I fitted frame savers and rocker rails. The rails stiffen up the underbody by a big margin. You could probably quite safely jack up using those puppies

That's what I have, the BMW ones...lock in place and stay on permanently...can't see them unless you're looking for them.

I just received the "BMW" pucks and they do fit a C5/Z06. I snapped them in place and will leave them in place permanently.

I was quoted $11.25 each at Fields BMW -Orlando for 51 71 7001 650.(round ones) I think this is the same one that Bavarian is selling for $4.95. The other part numer -51 718 268 885 was the square ones. I am now seeing a third part nummber- I am confused........
