Hope theres no other damage. Sounds like that problem would cause those things to happen. I know I'd be freaking out if that happened, all at the same time, while driving
Now come on Steve, after Andy's BBQ last weekend I know that you have the blower bug and now you an excuse to tell the wife that this is the only way to fix it, you and Ragtop Rick have a thing going - next year you will be on the dyno @ 650 + HP
Before I finished reading your post, I knew what you were going to say. The same happened to me about 4 years ago! Luckily, I was only driving about 20 mph, but I'll never forget that sound. Mine actually went BACK towards the engine and did some extensive damage, even at that low speed. When most let go, they go forward, so not as much damage. Hopefully this is your case.
Now for the bad news. It cost about $3K to get it fixed! Luckily I was under warranty so it only cost me the 50 bucks deductible.
The good news is I haven't had a lick of problem since (knock on wood). I hope your's isn't quite as severe as mine was.
